Catering & Facilities Assistant

  • Part-time, initial one-year fixed term appointment
  • 23 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8.45am to 2.30pm
  • Salary £9.23 per hour (plus contributions to a workplace pension scheme)

The role of ‘Catering & Facilities Assistant’ is a busy and increasingly demanding role in the activities and programme of the Christ Church Thornton Community Centre.  Providing a warm welcome to visitors and Christian hospitality through the provision of soup, sandwiches, hot drinks and other refreshments, the Catering & Facilities Assistant is a public facing role, helping people feel at ease, welcomed and comfortable within the Christian environment of the Church and Community Centre. 

Each day will start in the Chapel with participation at Morning Prayer, from 8.45-9.00am. This role involves working alongside a volunteer team and includes ensuring the Kitchen, Community Centre Hall, communal areas and toilet facilities are cleaned and stocked throughout the week.
