Who we are

We are people! The Church is people and not an institution or a building. Think of us as a community, or better still, a family - a family that's open to all to join.

We are a growing and changing local worshipping church sharing the hope of Jesus to all in our community, seeking to grow in faith, grow in fellowship and grow in number.

Our church family is made up of all sorts of people, from all walks of life and at all stages of life. If you require spiritual support, a place to worship, a need for prayer, a desire to know more about the Christian Faith, please do come along or make contact.

The Ecclesiastical Parish of Christ Church Thornton-le-Fylde has around 12,500 residents but with many new housing developments in the area, this number is increasing. We are here for every person in the Parish, whether a person has faith or no faith. We are an Anglican Church, one of the 16,000 within the Church of England. We are part of the Diocese of Blackburn, which is the Church of England in Lancashire.
